Mt. Apo the Grand Father of all Philippine Mountains soaring at an elevation of 10,311 Feet Above Sea level making it the highest point in the country.

Recently , there are Three (3) well established trails that can be used on making a journey to its peak namely:

*SIBULAN-MT. APO PEAK TRAIL…… Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur , Philippines

* KAPATAGAN TRAIL…………………..Digos, Davao del Sur, Philippines

* KO-ONG KIDAPAWAN TRAIL…….Kidapawan , North Cotabato, Phils.

Among the three trails ,Sibulan Trail is most interesting and most technical trail because of its narrow path and was seldom used by Mountain Climbers during climbing season. On the other hand, if you use this trail, you would be rewarded with the beautiful scenic view of the Mt. Apo National Park. Inside its pristine jungle is the canopy ecosystem on top and different species of Flora & Fauna which you could hear and and see.

Another exhalerating feature is the Boulders of Mt. Apo which will bring you to breath taking expedition by ascending the crater of sulfur deposits. Along the boulders, picture taking, nibbling of sweet wild berries can be tried before arriving at the 87-degree cliff before leading the way to the country’s highest peak.

When you reach the peak you can see the seven(7) different peaks of Mt. Apo you can do peak hopping and in one of those peaks you can feel being in an enchanted world by experiencing its sunset and early in the morning you can experience the mystic sunrise which gives unimaginable pleasure to as you see views below ( Davao side, South Cotabato’s Mt. Matutum, Lake Venado an other surrounding provinces).

On the way back, if fortunate enough, viewing of the Philippine Eagle can also be experied

Hot springs can also be enjoyed on Mt. Apo’s foothills like the Mundo Apo hot spring, Agco Hot springs in Kidapawan and Mainit hot spring in Kapatagan which is a very ideal thing to do before or after going to the mountain in order to minimize muscle aches.

So , if you want an adeventure for a lifetime which you could never forget , try conquering the Philippines Highest peak , dare to climb Mt. Apo.
